On her first day in clinical practice, Dr. Marisol Teijeiro, ND (inactive) met a patient who looked forty.
Her file said sixty-three. Marisol asked what she was doing, expecting to hear about a laser. The answer was castor oil. She had used it since her twenties, on everything.
Marisol had been told to try it for a decade and had said no every time. It sounded messy, it sounded too good to be true, and the oils on the shelf sat in plastic.
Ten years of resistance ended in four seconds. Queen of the Thrones® exists so nobody waits the way she did.
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
When did taking care of yourself become so complicated?
Somewhere along the way, wellness became another thing on our never-ending to-do lists.More supplements. More routines.

And as a naturopathic doctor, I saw it firsthand. Women were already doing so much for everyone around them, and now even their self-care had become another source of pressure.
I started asking myself: What if we didn't need to do more? What if we just needed to come back to something simpler?
A little time for ourselves.
A moment to slow down. A ritual that feels good instead of another task to check off.
