Here's how to wash your Queen of the Thrones® Castor Oil Pack BEFORE 1st use:

Step 1: In a bowl, mix warm water, baking soda, and natural dish soap, and let your pack soak for 1 hour or overnight.

Step 2: Hand wash it with warm water and natural dish soap, rinsing and wringing it out very well.

Step 3: Hang or lie it flat to dry on a towel.

You can also wash it on a cold cycle in the washing machine with natural detergent. Just don't ever put your oily, used pack into the washing machine as it could ruin your washer!

Now, maybe you're wondering if you can wash your Pack AFTER you've used it with Castor Oil?

Well, ideally your goal is to NOT wash it, as washing may cause the oil to get all over the outer "less mess" layer of the pack, making it messier and decreasing its natural lifecycle.

Tips to extend the life of your pack:

- Only use 1 tbsp of fresh Castor Oil with each use
- Keep the Castor Oil in the center of the pack (away from the seams)
- Avoid washing your oily pack

Pregnancy: As a precaution, Castor Oil Packs should be avoided during pregnancy.

Breastfeeding/Postpartum: Castor Oil Packs can be safely used postpartum and during breastfeeding.

Menstruation: Contrary to popular belief, Castor Oil Packs CAN be worn during your period. However, if it's your first time ever doing a Castor Oil Pack, you may want to wait until the end of your period to begin.

To store a used pack, it's best to place it in a clean, dry area. You can fold it up and keep it under your sink, in a glass container with the lid slightly open, in a cloth bag, or simply hang it with the oily side facing upwards on a towel rack or hanger. Wherever you choose to store it should be breathable. This will help maintain its condition for your next use.
