Does Castor Oil need to be in a glass bottle?
Yes, Castor Oil should ALWAYS be bottled in glass. Glass preserves, whereas plastic bottles may leach hormone-disrupting compounds into Castor Oil that may be carried into the body.
Can I just rub Castor Oil on my skin?
Simply rubbing Castor Oil on your skin and throwing an old T-shirt overtop (A.K.A. the "Lazy Castor Oil Pack") only gives you about 50% of the benefits. Black Castor Oil and Golden Castor Oil are both derived from the castor bean, but they are processed differently and may offer unique benefits for your hair and skin.
Black Castor Oil involves roasting the castor beans before pressing them to extract the oil. This process results in a darker color of oil because of the ash produced from roasting, as well as a more alkaline pH. It is typically used only in the hair, and traditionally used by those with thick, textured, curly or coily hair.
Golden Castor Oil is extracted using a method that involves pressing the castor beans without subjecting them to excessive heat. This gentle extraction process helps retain the oil's natural properties and nutrients, resulting in a light yellow or golden-colored oil. I received my roller ball a week ago and immediately wanted to order a second one. Sad that it is sold out at the moment but I will be checking back. It will be perfect for travel so that application won’t be messy or cumbersome. I have filled smaller glass rollers but there is something about the rose quartz that is particularly attractive to me.

So glad I bought this! It made an applying the castor oil so simple and less messy. I think using the roller helped me get into the ritual and routine of using the pac. Highly recommend that you start with a roller and a pac first. I bought some refillable roller bottles as I read that this one is not easily refillable. Please consider selling refillable roller bottles - better for the planet!

I love this product. I lap swim 5 nights a week , so the chlorine can do a number on my skin. Since using castor oil my skin has never felt so hydrated. I absolutely recommend it 100%.
The ball on the bottle will not roll no matter what I do. I gave it one star because I haven’t by able to use it! The roller doesn’t roll- doesn’t move at all- so, no castor oil comes out.

Wow! Totally impressed! I was skeptical as I have used caster oil in the past, but not this grade and not with an amazingly cooling rose quartz rollerball. It goes on a little 'sticky' but quickly absorbs into the skin. Speaking of my skin, I have spent THOUSANDS in the past on my nighttime routine with marginal results. I am ditching it all except the caster oil! My skin has never looked or felt better in the morning. So glad I also purchased the refill bottle! I'm sold!
