Insert Into Your Liver Pack
- Place the organic cotton insert inside your Liver Pack, soft side facing your skin.
- Thread the straps of the pack through the side slits to secure the liner in place.

Does Castor Oil need to be in a glass bottle?
Yes, Castor Oil should ALWAYS be bottled in glass. Glass preserves, whereas plastic bottles may leach hormone-disrupting compounds into Castor Oil that may be carried into the body.
Can I just rub Castor Oil on my skin?
Simply rubbing Castor Oil on your skin and throwing an old T-shirt overtop (A.K.A. the "Lazy Castor Oil Pack") only gives you about 50% of the benefits. Without the pack you lose out on the relaxation benefits, similar to a warm hug. The pack and the Castor Oil work synergistically together to help you feel better.
Can I drink Castor Oil?
When taken orally, Castor Oil is a stimulant laxative that can cause cramping and make you rush to go to the bathroom. Queen of the Thrones® Castor Oil is for topical use only.
What’s the difference between Golden Castor Oil and Black Castor Oil?
Black Castor Oil and Golden Castor Oil are both derived from the castor bean, but they are processed differently and may offer unique benefits for your hair and skin.
Black Castor Oil involves roasting the castor beans before pressing them to extract the oil. This process results in a darker color of oil because of the ash produced from roasting, as well as a more alkaline pH. It is typically used only in the hair, and traditionally used by those with thick, textured, curly or coily hair.
Golden Castor Oil is extracted using a method that involves pressing the castor beans without subjecting them to excessive heat. This gentle extraction process helps retain the oil's natural properties and nutrients, resulting in a light yellow or golden-colored oil. Golden Castor Oil is traditionally used in Castor Oil Packs as well as beauty practices from head to toe for the skin, nails, lashes, brows and more.

Can I just use organic bamboo or any old cloth?

How often should I do a Castor Oil pack?
Wear your Castor Oil Pack for 1 hour, or overnight. Most people begin with 7 days straight, then continue with an ongoing practice 3-5x per week.

Is it messy?
Castor Oil Packs have a reputation for being messy. That's why this pack was designed by a naturopathic doctor just for you to be LESS-mess. NO, it is not totally messless, but it's LESS messy than a do-it-youself pack. Always wear an old T-shirt over top, just in case. Note that your pack will become messy over time and should be replaced after approximately 60 uses.
How often do I have to replace it?
The traditional way of doing Castor Oil Packs was to use the SAME compress over and over and over. This was okay, before the industrial revolution when our environment wasn't as toxic. We now know that the increasing environmental toxicity impacts wellness. This is why it's important to add fresh oil every time and replace your pack after approximately 60 uses for ease of use, comfort, and sanitation.
Do I have to add heat?
Extra heat is not necessary because the Queen of the Thrones® Castor Oil Packs are engineered to naturally hold in your body heat.
Can I wear it if I'm pregnant, breastfeeding, postpartum or on my period?
Pregnancy: As a precaution, Castor Oil Packs should be avoided during pregnancy.
Breastfeeding/Postpartum: Castor Oil Packs can be safely used postpartum and during breastfeeding.
Menstruation: Contrary to popular belief, Castor Oil Packs CAN be worn during your period. However, if it's your first time ever doing a Castor Oil Pack, you may want to wait until the end of your period to begin.
Do I have to wash my liner?
New research from the National Institute of Health shows that even organic materials may contain traces of chemicals via transportation, packaging and warehousing. But luckily, washing is shown to significantly reduce or even eliminate these chemicals completely.
It's like when you buy produce, you always wash it first, even if it’s organic, right? You should also always wash the clothing and fabrics you place on your body. This is an unwritten rule with fabrics, especially if you have extra sensitive skin. But this is only a suggestion, like washing your new underwear before use!
Here's how to wash your Cotton Insert BEFORE 1st use:
Step 1: In a bowl, mix warm water, baking soda, and natural dish soap, and let your insert soak for 1 hour or overnight.
Step 2: Hand wash it with warm water and natural dish soap, rinsing and wringing it out very well.
Step 3: Hang or lie it flat to dry on a towel.
You can also wash it on a cold cycle in the washing machine with natural detergent. Just don't ever put your oily, used pack into the washing machine as it could ruin your washer!
Now, maybe you're wondering if you can wash your Cotton Insert AFTER you've used it with Castor Oil?
Yes, with the 100% Organic Cotton Insert, you can wash after use. Simply use the same steps as above.

I've done castor oil packs in the past only when I've doing liver flushes. I used a cotton flannel and it was messy and inconvenient which is why I would only use them during a liver flush. This pack fits my curves perfectly. I use a cotton flannel under it to keep the oil off the pack and find it helps prolong the life/use of the pack. It gets nice and warm from my body heat and I sleep in it several nights a week. I'm so glad to have found this wonderful wrap pack!

I did not like seeing the women on the pot on the box! I was out of town and my neighbor retrieved the box for me. embarrassing! I like the cotton cover but the elastic was too tight which made it itchy as was the tag!

Before I bought this castor oil pack, I was using flannel and plastic wrap with an ace bandage, and it was a pain in the butt. I was afraid to wear it overnight. The Queen of Thrones pack makes it so much easier, and I was able to wear it all night without making a mess. The only drawback is that it's a little bit pricey and not 100% impermeable, but if you wear an old shirt over it then you don't have to worry so much about it getting stained. So far I have not had any shirt staining but I've only used the pack twice. One improvement that I would make: Put the straps on the outside of the pack instead of the inside, because they can get a little itchy and irritating. Otherwise, I'm glad that I bought this product.

Queen of Thrones' Castor oil pack and oil bundle- very well designed. The pack is shaped so all the fabric lies flat on your torso; the elastic ties are secure and easy to get a proper fit. Having the one side less permeable, and the instructions to apply the oil in the center and then blot keep the whole process neat and clean. And pairing it with a good quality castor oil (who knew?) makes for a perfect kit for a beginner like me.
