Your Guide to Naturally Calming Your Child

Do you remember that magical moment when you discovered the meaning of unconditional, unmeasurable love? I know I do! In this post you’ll discover how to use castor oil packs for kids so you can bring more joy to your bundle of joy!

Do you still remember the first time you held your little one in your arms?…

  • That wonderful smell coming out of their little head
  • Their baby pheromones filling up your brain with love signals
  • Those marvelous blue eyes looking up at you as if you were the most beautiful thing in the world
  • Those little hands reaching out to you and never wanting to let go!

I wish I could bottle up that feeling and keep it in my pocket, you too?

Right then and there, your whole life changes. You transform into a source of abundance, nourishment, and protection. And though your body may still be weak, your soul is as strong as a bear and your willingness to protect your little one knows no limits!

Confidence kicks in and as a first-time mother, of course you know it all. I mean, you read all those parenting books put together by the “experts”, right?

You are ready to ace the test. But then, sooner than you expect, the confidence fades. Endless sleepless nights make you question your skills as a mother and your hopes start to crumble down.

You ask other parents hoping for guidance but you soon learn that when it comes to parenting, most of us are going on a wild goose chase trying to find the magic answer for happy, healthy, and well-behaved children.

Is it normal for your child to have colic?

Queen of the Thrones® Castor oil packs for kids help to improve your child's sleep

When my little one was only a couple of weeks old, he would cry his heart out for hours in the middle of the night. I felt weak, tired, and simply lost! Because I knew something was wrong but I couldn’t figure out what it was. Have you felt this hopeless feeling too?

I could feel the pain through his tears but everyone around would just tell me that “colic” was normal (whatever colic really means).

You have so many questions and no answers! Why was this happening to my son?! Why couldn’t he sleep peacefully like other babies?! Why couldn’t I make him smile like the first time we met?! Why was I failing to protect my little one?! Why, why, why?! Can you relate?

Defeated, I tried to convince myself that “colic” was common therefore it should be normal, but deep inside I knew that the reality was far more complex than that.

I was aware that we live in an environment filled with harmful toxins, artificial noise and light, extreme busyness and stress, and unhealthy meals that pass down to our little ones one way or another.

Can food allergies and sensitivities cause colic for your child?

Firstly, in my son’s case, through trial and error, we learned that the reason for his pain was a severe food allergy to the canned tomatoes used on the delicious and overpriced meatballs that I used to love to get from our local butcher shop and would get passed down to him through my milk. Who would have thought, right?

Obviously, I stopped getting my favorite meatballs and we had peace for a bit. But there was more to it and still today my little one needs more help and attention than other children in order to thrive!

Out of my three kids, he is the one who:

  • Has the most intestinal issues
  • Struggles the most to relax and behave
  • Gets sick the easiest
  • Gets in trouble at school
  • Has trouble sleeping
  • Needs affection the most

Every child is unique and as time and experience kicks in, you learn that a healthy child is a happy child and that a happy child will need less help to thrive.

Queen of the Thrones® Castor Oil Packs help to heal colic in kids

So what can you do to have a happy and healthy child?

Well, you can get lucky and get one of those wonders that simply thrive through anything, but regardless of how easy or challenging your kid is, there are foundational basics that we sometimes overlook:

  • Lots of water
  • Healthy diet with real food – heaps of vegetables, hearty protein and healthy fats
  • Daily exercise
  • Meditation or time for calm and reflection
  • Castor Oil Packs for Kids

And of course… Plenty of love!

In a perfect world, these basics would be the rule. But you know that in our society they are often the exception, agreed? Because we live busy chaotic lives and it often feels like we don’t have the time, energy, or resources to keep our kids safe from our regular day to day discomforts, right?

And this is why it is so important to help our children to cleanse and reset. Especially the ones that are in pain and often get labeled as “difficult children”.

Would you love to help your child cleanse, calm and balance naturally with Queen of the Thrones® Castor Oil Kids Packs?

You’ve probably heard of castor oil packs through health forums or through your healthcare practitioner, right? Or maybe castor oil packs for kids are a new concept for you, but in fact, they have been used for centuries for health in Traditional Chinese medicine, Indian Ayurveda, Ancient Egypt, and modern Naturopathic Medicine.

Constipation is stressful, would you agree? Or what about:

  •  Bloating
  •  Gas
  •  Diarrhea
  •  Anxiety
  •  Can’t sleep

Do any of these sound like you?

I’ve been there! I suffered with Irritable Bowel Syndrome for years. Being stressed and constipated was normal for me, until I found relief with the ancient health practice of castor oil packs and the WHY behind it all.

Did you know that if you sleep better, have better digestion, and reduce stress, your health would be drastically different? I didn’t know this then, but now it all makes sense.

The more anxious I was, the less likely I’d be to have a bowel movement. At that time I thought my constipation was a stand alone issue. All I wanted was to feel relaxed and ‘normal’, but it seemed impossible. Have you ever felt this way? It’s not your fault, because bodies often have a mind of their own.

What finally relieved my constipation and stress?

When I actually understood how closely connected my stress and digestion was, I figured out how to give my body the reset it needed so that I could have:

  •  Better stools
  •  Better sleep
  •  Less stress

After years of suffering, castor oil packs opened my eyes to how gut health goes beyond just the gut and that sometimes our bodies need a total reset and that’s ok! Health begins in the gut, which is why castor oil packs are one of the gems for a balanced digestive health.

How did I know I should try a castor oil pack?

For years, I thought I was doing everything ‘right’. Taking the right supplements, seeing a naturopathic doctor, exercising, eating healthy, but still struggling with going to the bathroom. Can you relate? I was so used to being constipated that it became ‘normal’ for me, know what I mean? Be gentle with yourself if you relate.

I hit my lowest point and became so sick that I couldn’t even get out of bed for a week, so I took the leap and made my own castor oil pack after ignoring this suggestion for years.

How does the castor oil pack relieve stress and constipation?

As soon as I put on that Castor Oil Pack I felt what relaxed was supposed to feel like and then I was finally able to have that long awaited bowel movement. Sounds amazing, doesn’t it?

You see, once my body was in a naturally relaxed state, I was able to naturally eliminate the build up of stools, it felt like a ton of bricks finally being freed from my stomach.

The 2 main ways the castor oil pack restored my gut

My gut was SO tense and contracted. The actual castor oil pack being placed on my abdomen worked with my stress and anxiety instead of fighting against it.

Yes, castor oil packs were 100% transformative for me, but I also needed to understand the 3 keys to gut health (better stools, better sleep and less stress) and how the castor oil pack worked with the 3 keys.

To my amazement, research showed that it supported the 5 fundamental pillars of health that just happen to spell out F-A-I-T-H.

Out of all these wonderful benefits, the ‘F’ and the ’T’ are the most important.

F: Function of the Digestive Tract.
Studies have shown that castor oil packs help to relieve constipation1 and improve the smooth muscle function of the digestive tract, in turn supporting better absorption and elimination.

T: Tension and Stress Reduction.
The soft compression of the pack on the skin stimulates sensory receptors that help to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, our ‘rest and digest’ state. The compress promotes production of our feel-good neurotransmitter dopamine2, as well as our love and connection hormone, oxytocin3.

FAITH on Queen of the Thornes Castor Oil products

My castor oil pack gave me back the FAITH that my body could heal and find relief from chronic constipation and a way to naturally relax.

It was kind of like getting a back massage for the first time, my stomach was relaxing and shedding all the food waste that needed to come out. And even better, I was less stressed and I was even sleeping better!

Can’t you just drink castor oil to relieve constipation?

When you actually drink castor oil it’ll make you go to the bathroom, but in a really rough and fast way. With this in mind, it’s an excellent stimulant laxative when taken by mouth but it doesn’t stay in you long enough to put your stomach in a relaxed state and that is one of the most important keys.

My key to freedom from constipation and stress: castor oil packs

You see, tension and stress inhibit our bodies’ natural ability to cleanse, have a bowel movement and relax. Trust me, I’ve been there without my castor oil pack and let me tell you, that’s a story worth reading.

It’s not that I needed my stress to disappear, I needed to have a system to naturally relax and release all the garbage (yes, stools!).

This is why I want to share this new opportunity with you, an opportunity to get your body into that relaxed state, the way it’s meant to be!

I’m definitely not perfect and still have stress in my life, but I now have a system that pulls me out of the evil cycle all thanks to the castor oil pack.

3 Easy Ways to Reduce the Stress you get from EMFs

3 Easy Ways to Reduce the Stress you get from EMFs

Do you ever feel like you get stressed out super easily? Chest tight, heart pounding, body overheating – you’ve tried everything to de-stress, but you feel like your body is in ‘fight or flight’ mode. Does this sound like you? I’ve been there too, and one of my silent stressors was electromagnetic frequencies (EMFs). You see, EMFs can actually increase stress on your nervous system1. It wasn’t until I figured out 3 easy ways to protect my body from the effects of EMFs and stress through Queen of the Thrones® Castor Oil Liver Packs, a Castor Oil Compress Kit and my Harmoni Pendant that I understood the impact EMFs were having on me.

Could EMFs be putting more stress on your body without you knowing?

EMFs are all around us, wherever there is electricity or wires, cell phones or cell phone towers. The closer that you are to the power towers, wires, or cellphone towers etc, the more you may notice an impact on your body – if you’re sensitive (not everyone is). But if you are, you notice it greatly. Even if you’re not sensitive and may not be FEELING the effects, there are still things happening deep down inside that are negatively impacting your life.

You’re an energetic being, you have a frequency, a vibration – just as everything does. So imagine it like this; if the ground is vibrating underneath you, like in an earthquake, you’re going to vibrate too!

Therefore, EMFs can exacerbate:

 Fatigue
 Problems sleeping
 Headaches and pain
 Brain fog

Do any of these sound like you? That was me too. All of these are signs of excess stress on your body.

The more stress that’s on your nervous system, the harder it is for you to recover from the negative effects of EMFs and radiation.?

This isn’t where I tell you to move to the country, switch to dial-up internet and get rid of your microwave. You don’t really need to do any of those things, there are easy ways to make your body more resilient, so that silent stressors don’t keep you trapped in that dreadful ‘fight or flight’ mode.

3 Ways You Can Protect your Nervous System from EMF Stress

1. Castor Oil Liver Packs To Balance your Stress Hormones

Tension and stress inhibits our bodies’ natural ability to have a bowel movement, keep calm and sleep, and added EMF stress certainly doesn’t help these things.

The ancient health practice of Castor Oil Liver Packs sets the foundation for better health, better stools, better sleep and LESS stress.

The soft compression of the Castor Oil Liver Pack on the skin helps you to:

The compression of the Queen of the Thrones Castor Oil Packs help to reduce the stress caused by EMF

Balance your stress hormones.
Naturally move your body into its ‘rest and digest’ state.
Promote the production of your feel-good hormone dopamine2, as well as oxytocin3, the ‘love’ hormone.

2. A Sleep Mask To Help you Relax as you fall asleep

Wearing a white Castor Oil Eye Compress Kit to bed balances your natural day and night hormonal rhythms and increases melatonin4, which helps you get better sleep and have more resistance against dirty electricity. Sounds like a win-win, right?

Since I usually only wear my castor oil liver pack and my sleep eye mask overnight, I also found this amazing tool that has been shown to reduce the impact of the EMFs all day long.

3. Wearing The Harmoni Pendant to Protect you from EMFs

Wendy Myers is one of the world’s leading experts in stress therapy & detoxification, and she’s created a beautiful piece of jewelry that actually protects you from EMFs!

The Harmoni Pendant was designed to harmonize the body’s natural electrical frequencies and energetic pathways and is proven to lift your central nervous system out of fight or flight mode.

Wearing an EMF protection device, like a Harmoni Pendant, is the easiest way to shield yourself, your family, and your loved ones.

Similar to the castor oil liver pack and sleep hygiene mask, these pendants are easy to put on everyday without having to change your life and they’re beautiful, too!

The clue to having gut glue

When you’ve spent the majority of your life struggling to achieve the infamous flat belly, it’s like the golden goose — just slightly out of your reach. You achieve it and feel so proud, so rewarded, only to crash, crumbling down. It works great for a week and then ‘poof’, it’s gone, and you’re back to square one. All because you cheated just a little bit on your diet.

It’s so hard to be “perfect” all the time. You try, and you do your best, and I want to honour that here!!! You are working hard, good for you.

But maybe, just maybe — it’s not enough to only avoid certain foods. After all, you know you can’t avoid indulging on more than one occasion. Let’s face it — you’re human and you’re not perfect, and that is absolutely OK!

So how can we indulge and not go back to square one? Instead of feeling like a beluga whale, we want to feel bodacious and like our best selves!

Here you will learn why the bloat happens, the main factors causing problems and the easy nightly routine that you can do to help alleviate the problem.

Why Do I Get Bloated?

There are many causes of bloated bellies. When you feel and look 7 months pregnant and well, you’re not… it’s a really important sign that things in your body aren’t working as they should. There is something terribly wrong with the environment in your body.

Here are the most common reasons why you’re dealing with bloating.

  • Food allergies, sensitivities or intolerances (most commonly, dairy and wheat)
  • High sugar diet
  • Excessive processed foods
  • Lack of exercise and natural movement
  • Constipation (lack of daily bowel movement)
  • Low digestive factors
  • Unhealthy gut microbiome
  • Insomnia, or problems sleeping

Let’s look at this interactive day-in-the-life example so you can see what I mean.

Living with Daily Bloating

Here’s what happens. You wake up in the morning with a relatively flat stomach. For breakfast, you eat a bagel and cream cheese. Seems innocent enough, right? As it goes down your digestive tract, because you are sensitive to it (gluten and dairy as it has been shown that the majority of people are), it causes inflammation and irritation. You may or may not feel symptoms directly associated to the food, but things are brewing down under!

What’s brewing is the unhealthy bacteria and yeast that look for any opportunity to advance their position and the best one to them is an irritated, inflamed gut and digestive tract (no matter how it got that way). They easily propagate and build their colonies and biofilm, which is a protective barrier that keeps them colonizing your gut

Queen of the Thrones Castor Oil Packs help to relieve bloating and constipation

Then, to make it all go down smoothly, you follow your delicious bagel with a cup of coffee, that you added 3 tsp of sugar and milk to (which is also sugar), or you opted for a healthier version: a glass of orange juice (BTW that is equivalent to 8 tsp of sugar).

Here you add flame to the already burning iridescent fire. Sugar FEEDS yeast overgrowth; this is well known in natural circles as Candida. Your microbiome, as it’s called, is up to no good, and causing you bloating because of it. Coffee also promotes the stress response, so when paired with sugar, it creates one unhappy couple.

A solution? Switch to green tea! Green tea heals the gut lining, improves the microbiome and stimulates you like a coffee, but relaxes you at the same time, negating the cortisol spike that may occur.2

Queen of the Thrones recommends Green tea to heal the gut lining

Bacteria and yeast aren’t all in all bad, but those that are bad create nauseating gases and ferment in your body. These nauseating gases not only make you smell bad but they also slow down how quickly you go to the bathroom. This means you’re more likely to be constipated when this happens.

Plus you feel foggy-brained and fatigued. It’s almost like you are creating your own alcohol in your digestive tract. I am 100% serious here!

If you’re interested about more information on food sensitivity testing, you can find important resources on this lab testing website in the US.

There is of course a serious complication with all the other factors causing bloating. Add complication to an already complicated matter with the next aspect.

Is Bacteria Causing Me to Bloat?

The microbiome is often blamed for gas and bloating, specifically in the condition known as SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth), where one of the main symptoms is bloating due to gas created by overgrowth.

Well, yes and no, and as you can see from the example above – it’s many factors.

The reality is, it’s a big smorgasbord of interplay between related factors that create the ENVIRONMENT in your body for there to be bloating.

According to Queen of the Thrones bacteria is a cause of bloating

Change Your Environment, Change Your Life

How do you then fix the environment or the foundation of your body, without having to take a bazillion supplements and see a bunch of practitioners to get things under control?

A great first step is to have your food sensitivities tested. Food sensitivity testing allows you to see the whole picture and YOUR personal reaction to foods

Calm your Abdominal Bloating with Castor Oil Packs!

The keys to this legendary treatment that has been around since the beginning of human civilization is that it works because it supports the fundamentals of health.

It has been shown to improve bloat because it improves these 5 key things:

The reality is, it’s a big smorgasbord of interplay between related factors that create the ENVIRONMENT in your body for there to be bloating.

  1. Function of digestion, absorption and elimination
  2. Antioxidant status
  3. Inflammation regulation
  4. Tension and stress reduction
  5. Host microbiome balance
Calm your Abdominal Bloating with Queen of the Thrones Castor Oil Packs

What this means for you is better digestion, a good night’s sleep, better tolerance of stress, improved bowel movements, and increased absorption of good fats that help you heal and help you with cleansing and hormonal balance.

You will still need to be conscious of your diet, but regular practice of the castor oil packs allow for indulgence that won’t do you in. This is the awesome part about resetting the foundation and not just focusing on the symptoms!

A Castor Oil Pack is typically placed on the liver underneath the right rib cage and worn for a minimum of one hour, or ideally overnight. Why? I know what you are thinking, another claim to beautiful skin—you have tried all of the celebrity endorsed and ‘top rated’ face masks, scrubs, acne cleansers and wrinkle creams at the beauty counter and haven’t noticed a difference. Well, trust me honey, you are not alone!

The problem is that the majority of these products contain toxic, under-researched chemicals, scents and perfumes that actually cause long term damage to your system, not to mention make a substantial dent in your wallet.

A Bit of History

Castor Oil is a versatile, safe and natural oil that was used for beauty preservation by Mediterranean Goddesses, Roman Empresses and Egyptian Queens, all of which were known for their striking natural beauty. The legendary Queen Cleopatra even used castor oil as part of her beauty regime!

It is the ‘miracle oil’ that does it all! It replaces your cleansers, toners and even your night time moisturizers. In fact, if you look at the products you are currently using, you will likely notice that Castor Oil is the main ingredient—so why not cut out the crap (literally!) and just use this ‘miracle’ oil as nature intended.

The Science

Aging is caused by a lack of circulation to the area; your blood flow constricts and there is a loss of nourishment to the skin, which is why we often see fine lines start to form near the gentle skin around the eyes. We want to bring more blood flow, reduce inflammation and nourish the area—that’s anti-aging 101!

Castor Oil has no negative side effects and contains important skin-nourishing nutrients like omega 6 and 9, vitamin E (a known anti-aging vitamin!), amino acids, flavonoids1 and glutathione2 which is important to keep us ‘looking young’. It is antibacterial, antioxidant, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory, which makes it super beneficial for acne, dry, and aging skin.

Queen of the Thornes Castor Oil contains Omega 6 9 and vitamin E

The thing that places Castor Oil on the throne as the queen above others, is it is the only oil that contains ricinoleic acid. This divine component of the oil is super anti-inflammatory3, ultra moisturizing and has a molecular weight that allows it to pass through the first layer of skin (the epidermis) into the deeper layer (the dermis) where our blood and lymphatic vessels lie. This makes it the very best carrier oil for essential oils too!

As Castor Oil is an exceptional emollient and is nourishing, it also helps to alleviate dark circles, puffiness, redness and the fine lines around the eyes. It is used to enhance growth and thickness of eyebrows and eyelashes.

Of course you must always work on cultivating a healthy inner body ecosystem through nourishing foods and through digesting those foods well, and secondly by making sure that you are getting good quality, restorative deep sleep so that your body can renew… Queen of the Thrones® Castor Oil Packs and the Castor Oil Eye Compress Kit are two tools that should be staples in your practice to support this.

But your facial care routine can to be radically revamped too! Get rid of the old washes and astringents and let’s cleanse our beautiful faces with a wash that is non-drying, replenishing, redness-reducing and excellent at removing impurities.

How to do a nightly cleansing oil wash for your face using Castor Oil.

1. Use a clean face cloth.

Place a clean face cloth under warm water (hot enough to touch but not to burn).

2. Wet your face with warm water to open up your skin pores.

Place a clean face cloth under warm water (hot enough to touch but not to burn).

3. Apply Castor Oil on your face.

In the palm of your hand place some Queen of the Thrones® Castor Oil (approx.1 tsp), and gently rub it between your clean palms and blot all over your face. Try to concentrate on any areas where you may have make-up such as the eye area.

4. Let the Castor Oil permeate your skin.

Allow the moisturizing, nourishing Queen of the Thrones® Castor Oil to absorb into your skin for a minute or two.

5. Splash your face with warm water.

Splashing your face with warm water will help to pull debris out and pushes the Castor Oil into your skin.

5. Remove the excess of Castor Oil and residue.

Using the same face cloth, warm it up again, and wipe in an upward motion to remove all of the excess Castor Oil and residue.

How to cleanse your face with Queen of the Thrones Castor Oil

That’s it—5 minutes and DONE!

You will notice your skin is firmer, plumper and as soft as a baby’s bottom after doing this cleanse. Unlike other cleansers where you are cautioned to ‘avoid your eye area’, castor oil is super safe and actually has health benefits for your eyes!

Throw on your Queen of the Thrones® Castor Oil Eye Compress Kit and you are now ready for bed!

Here’s our free Sleep eGuide on how Castor Oil Packs can help support a good night’s sleep!

The next morning, you’ll only need to refresh your skin with purified water.

Not all Castor Oils are the Same…

Just a reminder that not all Castor Oil is created equally—your Castor Oil should always be organic, cold-pressed and extra virgin, as well as hexane-free, 100% pure and ALWAYS packaged in a glass bottle.

Castor Oil’s unique chemical structure makes it a magnet for toxic lipophilic components of plastic such as BPA 4, slip agents 5, or UV filters 6. For this reason, please never use Castor Oil that comes in a plastic bottle, and if you have any, throw it away! Since ricinoleic acid has the ability to pass the epidermis and enter the dermis where our blood and lymph vessels lie, we definitely do not want toxins here!

So now you know that not only is Castor Oil a great addition to your pharmaceutical cabinet, it also has a well-deserved place in your beauty regime too!

We would love for you to take a picture of your face before and again in a few weeks to see if you notice a difference for yourself!
